UX Writing Challenge Day Two: Busy Parent Sports App

Day two of the UX writing challenge slipped right into my inbox and I hit the grass running.

Scenario: A user is a working parent, and a big sports fan, in the midst of their favorite sports season who can no longer attend games.

Challenge: Write a promotional screen for an app that lets a user choose teams, sends game reminders, real-time score updates and highlight videos.

UX Challenge Scenario Reflection

This was a fun one, but challenging at the same time.

Again, I found myself revising at removing a decent amount of body copy. I wanted to keep things playful, but that starts to take up unnecessary character count.

While I was ironing out the button copy, I came across an interesting article on Medium from the UX Collective that dove into button UI. The article touches on button states, styling and coloring, labeling, and more. Here’s a link to that article.
